New Beginnings: Introducing PeopleWhoCode — Official Blog

It's truly amazing to see how far we've come since PeopleWhoCode's inception in 2017.

What started as a humble Instagram community has now grown into a global community of over 280,000 developers.

We're grateful for every one of you who has joined us on this journey, contributing to the vibrant and diverse tapestry of coding stories, experiences, and innovations that have come to define our platform.

As we continue to evolve and grow, we're thrilled to announce the next big step in our journey - the PeopleWhoCode Blog.

A New Evolution

The blog is a new beginning for our community. It will serve as an expanded platform for the community.

Here, we will delve deeper into the individual stories of developers in our community, showcasing the diverse experiences and perspectives of programmers from all walks of life. We aim to inspire you with tales of triumph, resilience, and creative innovation that underscore the human element of coding.

From your early days of "Hello, World!" to developing complex, scalable systems, these stories will serve as inspiration and motivation for others navigating their coding journeys. The blog will be a platform for developers, by developers.

The blog aims to reflect our community's collective wisdom, share the nuances of coding experiences, and inspire current and future developers. We envision the blog as a medium for providing you with valuable resources and relevant industry news to stay updated with the ever-evolving world of programming.

setups and workspaces

We will also feature setups and workspaces, offering you a peek into the environments where fellow developers create, innovate, and solve problems. It's a chance to share ideas, gain inspiration, and learn from each other's experiences.

We will also use this opportunity to explore the tools and products that fellow developers use to stay productive in their day to day work.

Overall this is going to be an exciting journey and we can’t wait to see where this new undertaking takes us. But that’s not all.

Newsletter for Developers

The newsletter will be a major feature of the blog, it will be a curated digest of the most relevant happenings in the world of programming.

We will keep you informed with the most significant developments in our field, from the latest startups creating all the buzz to what Elon Musk thinks about remote work. Our aim to make sure you stay informed with all the developments in the space.

It will also include some resources that we think you will find super helpful and a section dedicated to job opportunities to help those trying to find a new role.

Overall the newsletter will be another great addition to your email. You won’t be receiving emails every other day. Our goal is quality over quantity.

If this sounds like something you’d like to be part of, feel free to signup here.

Job Board For Developers

job board

Over the past couple of months, we’ve received numerous messages on Instagram from developers who were either layed off due to the current recession or those looking to switch jobs.

This is probably the worst climate I have seen with regards to finding new jobs as a developer.

Layoffs like never before, hiring freezes and the dawn of Ai has left many wondering whether the job market for developers will ever recover.

The truth of the matter is companies are still hiring and the job market will improve with time. But for now jobs are all over the place. With too many job boards and saturated roles on LinkedIn, finding a job is not the easiest of tasks.

To this regard, we are working on a recruitement platform mainly focused on roles for developers, this is still a work in progress and what I just showed you is only a sneak peek of what is to come.

Shortly you will be able to join the waitlist but for now just keep in mind that this is in the works.

Expansion to Other Social Media Channels

That's not all. As part of our mission to grow this community, we are expanding our presence across different social media platforms. We're introducing our community on Discord, Twitter, and TikTok. We are yet to launch the Twitter and Tiktok channels but as of now you can join the Discord. This will allow us to share, engage, and learn in real-time, fostering a more interactive and connected community.

I am very excited about the direction we are taking with this community. I can’t wait to see what will become of this blog 6 months from now. I am inviting you to join me on this journey. If you haven’t already, follow us on Instagram or join the Discord channel. And do not hesitate to shoot a DM on either platforms with whatever feedback you have.

Let's keep coding, sharing, and inspiring!
